Boston MA 7th Alarm 12/31/2007 : Boston Firefighters responded to Box 7435 for a fire at 309 Emerson Street. The building was a converted hotel made into an 18 unit condo complex. The fire started on the first floor and quickly overtook the building. Two civilians were killed.

FDNY Robert Beddia LODD Funeral 8/27/2007 : These photos were a few quick snapshots taken the day before attending the funeral for FDNY Firefighter Robert Beddia Engine Co 24. Beddia gave his life while operating at a seven alarm high rise fire at the former Deutsche Bank building at 130 Liberty Street in lower Manhattan. Firefighter Joseph Graffagnino of Ladder Co 5 also gave his life. The first set is of a motor vehicle crash on FDR Drive. The second is from outside the quarters of Engine 54, Ladder 4 and Battalion 9 a block away from our hotel. Last three are a few detail companies working at the scene from a camera phone.

Framingham MA Working Fire 4/18/2007 : Framingham Fire Alarm began to receive calls reporting a house fire on Saxony Road. Engine 2 reported smoke showing upon arrival. Companies had some difficulty knocking down the heavy fire. Engine 5 & Ladder 3 were special called.

Boston MA 4th Alarm 3/6/2007 : While waiting for the USS John F. Kennedy to depart South Boston for the last time from Castle Island, heavy smoke was visible in the South Dorchester part of the city. At approx 1043 Hrs Boston Fire began to receive calls reporting a fire on Woodworth Street. Box 3255 was struck for Walnut & Woodworth Streets. Arriving companies found heavy smoke and fire showing from a large 3 story wood frame. Severe cold and strong winds hampered firefighters and photographers alike. After taking the job in, it was decided that the Kennedy would stay in Boston one more night.

Boston MA 6th Alarm 2/22/2007 : Boston Firefighters responded to Box 1212 in the North End section of the city for a fire on the top floor of a occupied multiple dwelling at 130 Endicott Street. Six alarms were transmitted and the fire was out prior to my arrival. Travel into the city was hampered by a quick moving storm of the white stuff.
